Created by the Best Start Resource Centre and revised in 2013. This booklet will help women and their families explore breastfeeding from prenatal decisions, learning breastfeeding basics to gaining confidence. Topics include: making an informed decision, getting started, learning to breastfeed, common concerns, frequently asked questions and where to get help. The booklet was tested by many pregnant and breastfeeding families and contains some of their quotes.

Halton's Adjusting to Parenthood Groups
Are you surprised about how you are feeling now that you are a parent? Are you struggling with being exhausted, overwhelmed or unsure of how to relate to your baby or child? You are not alone, we can help. Visit one of our Adjusting to Parenthood (A2P) groups, which meet twice monthly. Learn from other moms, public health nurses, and parent educators or therapists. Call ahead to arrange free child care. Remember - peer support is an important part of a healthy parenting strategy. Protect your health, the health of your baby and the health of your family by getting the support and encouragement you need, when you need it.

EarlyON centres are open to all families in Ontario. They’re welcoming places that offer a range of services and resources, where you can: join fun activities such as reading, storytelling, sing-alongs and games get advice from professionals trained in early childhood development find out about other family services in your community connect with other families with young children These services are available at any EarlyON centre in Ontario. Many centres are open weekdays, evenings and weekends to fit the needs of families in their communities.
